Jen is a senior animal science major with a pre-vet concentration and sociology and chemistry minors at the University of Maine at Orono.  She has enjoyed learning about and helping with farrowing and AI.  She loves going to market and learning about other farms and she has loved spending time riding the horses (Spook and Lucy).  Her biggest goal of the summer was to learn how to milk the cow (Delila-in the photo to the left) and she has succeeded both at milking and developing a lasting relationship with Delila.  She chose to raise goats as her personal project on the farm and has been enjoying our three goats Sadle, Twist and Sprout. Jen represents Cornerstone Farm at the Waterville Farmers' Market and Unity Market Day. "working on the farm with Hanne and the kids has been one of the greatest experiences of my life.  It has changed not only my perspective on farm animals, but also my perspective on life.  I am forever greatful for everything Hanne has taught me, and Cornerstone Farm will forever be a part of me."   ~ Jen

Seth is a senior animal science major at the University of Maine at Orono.  This summer he has enjoyed learning to drive the tractor, and learning about the garden and harvesting.  His personal project this summer was to work with our chickens.  He did an excellent job setting up some new nesting boxes and he even hatched his very own chick, Scooter.  He has enjoyed picking out his favorite little piglet of each new litter, naming them Wilson and Walter.  He even tried a hand at growing a tomato plant (Beatrice).  Seth represents Cornerstone Farm at the Bath Farmers' Market.
