Hanne and Dan Tierney have owned and managed Cornerstone Farm since 2001
with the help of their children Edie and Sam. Hanne has a BS in Animal Science
from the University of Maine and farms full time. Dan has a MS in Conservation
Biology from SUNY-Albany and, in addition to farming part time, works full time
as a biologist for the National Marine Fisheries Service.

Hanne and Dan both helped on family farms as children. Now they enjoy
sharing Cornerstone Farm with their children. Edie and Sam, both 8 years old,
really help out on the farm. Edie at 60lbs can move boars and sows that weigh
up to 500lbs! It is wonderful to see the children teach the farm's visitors how
to respectfully treat the animals. Without a doubt Edie and Sam's specialties
are poultry and piglets!
The entire family looks forward to meeting you at farmers markets!
