| Meet the Farmers | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Hanne and Dan Tierney have owned and managed Cornerstone Farm since 2001, recently with the help of Edie and Sam. Hanne has a BS in Animal Science from the University of Maine and farms full time. Dan has a MS in Conservation Biology from SUNY-Albany and, in addition to farming part time, works full time as a biologist for the Maine state department of transportation. |

| Hanne and Dan both helped on family farms as children. Now they enjoy sharing Cornerstone Farm with their children. Edie and Sam, 6 and 5 years old, have really started to help out on the farm. Edie at 40lb can catch piglets up to about 50lbs! In the last year it has been wonderful to see the children teach the farm's visitors how to respectfully treat the animals. Without a doubt Edie's and Sam's specialties are poultry and piglets! The entire family looks foward to meeting you at farmers' market! |
